Egg Mayo Sandwich


INGREDIENTS:


  • 4 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon mustard (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 slices of bread
  • Lettuce leaves (optional)
  • Tomato slices (optional)


INSTRUCTIONS:


  • In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped hard-boiled eggs, mayonnaise, and mustard (if using).
  • Mix well until everything is thoroughly combined.
  • Season the egg mayo mixture with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust the seasoning according to your preference.
  • Lay out 4 slices of bread on a clean surface or plate.
  • If desired, add a lettuce leaf or two on each slice of bread for extra freshness and crunch.
  • Spoon the egg mayo mixture onto the bread slices evenly, spreading it to the edges.
  • If you like, add tomato slices on top of the egg mayo mixture.
  • Top each sandwich with another slice of bread.
  • Press the sandwich halves together gently to make them stick.
  • Optionally, you can trim the crusts from the sandwiches and cut them into halves or quarters to create finger sandwiches or tea sandwiches.
